Straighter teeth. A healthier bite. — modern, discreet alignment options for teenagers and adults who want a smile that truly fits.

A straighter smile is about more than aesthetics

Properly aligned teeth are easier to clean, place less stress on the jaw, and create a more balanced bite — reducing the risk of wear, sensitivity, and long-term damage. And yes, they look great too.

At Dental On Railway, we offer modern orthodontic solutions that work with your lifestyle. Whether you're a teenager just starting your smile journey or an adult who's always wanted to correct their teeth, we have an option that suits you.

Dr Simon Frame takes time to understand your goals and thoroughly assess your teeth and bite before recommending a course of treatment. We'll map out exactly what to expect — how long, how often, and what the result will look like.

Invisalign

The market-leading clear aligner system, using a series of custom-made, removable trays to gradually move teeth into the ideal position. Virtually invisible and highly effective for a wide range of cases.

Clear Aligners

Discreet, removable aligner trays that straighten teeth without the need for fixed metal braces. Comfortable to wear and easy to maintain alongside your daily routine.

Retention & Monitoring

After active treatment, retainers keep your teeth in their new position while the surrounding tissues stabilise. We provide custom retainers and schedule follow-up reviews to ensure your result lasts.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

Absolutely not. Teeth can be moved at any age, and adult orthodontics is increasingly common. Clear aligners are particularly popular with adults because they're discreet and can often fit around work and social commitments more easily than traditional braces. We treat patients from teenagers through to their 60s and beyond.

Most clear aligner cases run for somewhere between 6 and 18 months. Minor corrections — such as mild crowding or relapse after previous braces — can be complete in as little as 6 months, while more comprehensive alignment and bite correction commonly takes 12–18 months. Your treatment time depends on how far your teeth need to move, whether your bite also needs adjusting, and how consistently you wear your aligners (around 22 hours a day is ideal). Dr Frame has completed further study in clear aligner treatment and will give you a realistic timeframe, along with a digital simulation of your final result, before you commit.

Clear aligner treatment is priced case by case, because no two smiles need the same amount of movement. The main factors are the complexity of your case (minor front-tooth alignment versus full-arch and bite correction), how many aligner sets are required, whether one or both arches are treated, any preparatory work such as a clean or fillings beforehand, and the retainers you'll need afterwards. Comprehensive clear aligner treatment typically ranges from around $4,500 to $9,000 in Australia, with shorter, limited-movement cases costing considerably less. Many private health funds with orthodontic extras will contribute, and payment plans can help spread the cost. Rather than quote a general figure, we prefer to assess your teeth properly — book a consultation at our Railway Parade practice and we'll provide a written quote with the exact investment for your case.

Yes — one of the major advantages of removable aligners is that you take them out to eat and drink. You simply brush your teeth and clean the aligners before putting them back in. The only exception is drinking very hot liquids while wearing aligners, which can warp the material.

After orthodontic treatment, teeth have a natural tendency to move back towards their original position. Wearing retainers as instructed — initially full-time, then typically just at night — prevents this from happening. Many patients wear night-time retainers indefinitely to preserve their results.
