Yes — one of the major advantages of removable aligners is that you take them out to eat and drink. You simply brush your teeth and clean the aligners before putting them back in. The only exception is drinking very hot liquids while wearing aligners, which can warp the material.

After orthodontic treatment, teeth have a natural tendency to move back towards their original position. Wearing retainers as instructed — initially full-time, then typically just at night — prevents this from happening. Many patients wear night-time retainers indefinitely to preserve their results.
